Sewing for me...

I've been making a lot of pieces for our Civil War Program.
This week I just wanted to work on something more 21st century so I started working on my poppy quilt (seemed somewhat appropriate for Memorial Day weekend).  Here are my block so far:
I saw drawings of this chevron style (or quarter or half) log cabin on pinterest a while ago and filed it with this fabric as a possible pattern.  This fabric is so beautiful I just wanted to allow the fabric to "sing" and really be the focal point.
I love this fabric!  I wish it was still available but am happy I got some when I did!  What are you working on?

Everything is lovely - I'm crushing on that poppy print (the Civil War fabrics are a bit somber for my taste) :D How big are those poppy blocks?

I'm working on a QAYG D9P quilt in pink, orange and yellow - it'll be a donation quilt. I just finished a double zip pouch, and I have one more cut out to make (I was finishing up the last of some fabrics, and had just enough for the 2 bags). I need to get some housework done (boo, lol) then I want to draft a template for a monster zipper bag, based on a project I pinned. The weather has warmed up now so I'm happy to spend time in my nice cool basement!

I'm catching up on blog reading, this Poppy Quilt jumped out at me. I really like what you chose for a block, it does show off those poppies nicely :-)
Oh, BTW- I'm jealous of your gardening!
