I Like Thursdays: October 1, 2026

 

Hello!  I'm finally getting back to normal and happy to participate in "I like Thursdays" sponsored by LeeAnna!

The first good thing to celebrate is that my husband's cluster headaches have subsided for now!

Thanks to the Nor'easter...our area is no longer showing up as drought or even abnormally dry!

1-Longer walks because the weather is cooler.

2-Being able to work in the sewing room because the attic is not an oven.

3-By this time of year, I'm pretty tired of working in the garden so I'm glad to say adios to that.

I Like Thursdays: September 3, 2026

 

Happy September!

Today is "I like Thursdays" and time to celebrate good things.  Please visit our hostess at Not Afraid of Color for more posts!

Our prompt this week is, "You know it's the end of summer when..."  

Here it is when the kids go back to school.  The neighborhood is quieter in the mornings now but livens up after 3 pm.  We love hearing the kids playing outside.  It's good music!

Other things to celebrate:  

We had two big storms late last night and it dumped a bunch of much needed rain.  We are so grateful!

Lucky was glad because the rain came down in the middle of the night and he was safe and sound in the house.  He hates going out in the rain!

My husband is sick with cluster headaches.  He has been in the ER a few times this past week.  I'm still grateful because the hospital is taking it seriously and we have visiting nurses now.  He's stable but when he is in pain it is awful 😟
