Hello and welcome to another edition of "I Like Thursdays" sponsored by LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color.
This week I appreciate that our car is fixed. Murphy's Law dictates that when my husband mentions we should think about getting another car---the old car has problems. We took it to our mechanic last week and it was fine for about 30 minutes and the check engine light went on again. Took it back and it is fine now. Whew!

I was sick this week. I'm grateful that for once I could just focus on geting better. My husband walked Lucky. My brother made me a pot of chicken-lemon-orzo soup which was fantastic and really healing. I also rested and watched bad tv shows. However, I credit the soup for healing me! 😃

This season I am taking it way easy. I did decorate...a wee bit last weekend.

Lana's prompt this week: "The holidays can be stressful...What always calms you down when you’re really stressed out and upset?"
I tire of holiday movies and crafts. After a while, it's like too much candy. I unwind by playing music in the sewing room or when I'm cleaning. I use Pandora for Film Scores. When I was working, I just wanted to hear music without words and started listening tosoundtracks. It's been over 20 years and I still prefer music without words.
I was rather surprised this last year when I heard Kate from The Last Homely House mention that she likes to listen to soundtracks as well. Do you listen to music in the sewing room? What kind of music do you like?
Have a safe and happy weekend!

Your Christmas decorations are adorable!
Glad you're feeling better! Your brother's soup sounds yummy. Fun to see your decorations - those trees are pretty in their turquoise/blue colors. I don't listen to much of anything when I'm sewing usually - Mike is often right in other room and likes to talk, lol!
I listen to classic rock most of the time. I also listen to podcasts. So much to choose from!
I love listening to soundtracks too! So much good music Feel better!
Love, LeeAnna
Glad the car is working again. Never underestimate the healing power of soup! We like listening to the Windham Hill winter collections this time of year - no words, and seasonal (not necessarily Christmas) music.
Feeling sick is awful but a happy recovery, thanks to that old fashioned remedy, good old chicken soup. Sounds delicious. I love sound tracks too and often have instrumental music playing first thing in the morning when I"m on the computer. Decorating has been minimal here this year.
