I like Thursdays: October 15, 2020

Well it's time for another "I like Thursdays" post.  Hosted by Lee Anna at Not Afraid of Color, we fill up the internet with positive energy!

Squirrels are always good for Dog TV!  Scout enjoys watching the baby squirrels eat at this tree:
One of my neighbors decorated her house with corn stalks and pumpkins.  To see that the squirrels had a celebration was an understatement!
Every morning I walked Scout, my husband would ask me when I returned home:  What have the squirrels done at Jessica's?

The corn was the first to go, we would see cobs all over the neighborhood.  One morning--apparently when the corn was all eaten--we saw a squirrel on the stalks shaking the stalks in frustration 😂

Then they hit the pumpkins:

I don't decorate for Halloween.  It's not my favorite holiday.  That didn't stop squirrels from bringing in decorative pumpkins into my yard and messing up my just cleaned patio:

Some people are afraid of dolls.  This phobia actually has a name, pediophobia.  Across the street from my machine quilter's house, there was an elaborate halloween display.  Forget the ghosts and ghouls, I thought it was hilarious that they included this:

I live in a very liberal neighborhood, nicknamed Bidenville.  There are always entertaining signs posted around here and I photograph them to send to some of my friends.

Covid has not hit our community as hard as other parts of the city.  People are mostly masked unless they are briskly walking.  Here's an interesting Halloween sign for the times:

My days are pretty much full with caring for Brad these days.  So this is all the entertainment I have.  Hope you have a safea and happy week...duty calls me!

Hi Michele! Oh, that picture of Scout sitting and watching the squirrels is just priceless. What a good girl she is! All your photos are great - LOVE the Nope sign. HAHA! That is just plain funny no matter where you stand. All those dolls are a little freaky - but whatever floats your boat. I don't decorate for Halloween either - I don't understand why it's a holiday celebrating what?! And - I don't like pumpkin spice either - gasp! HAHA! Take care and good wishes and prayers coming your way for Brad. ~smile~ Roseanne

Yes, the squirrels provide never ending entertainment for Murphy here too. But she has learned she can't get them as they go up trees. Interesting to see what fun they had with the decorations and certainly fun/quirky to see dolls out for Halloween. There was a really creepy doll in one of the Toy Storys and that surprised me. Hang in there and find moments to treat yourself well too Michele.

What an entertaining neighborhood. Haha. That doll display is a little freaky, though. The flowers in your header are so delicate and a perfect color for fall.

well I like your neighborhood... much better than ours where people brag about not listening to doctors they only listen to the pres.

Squirrels are endlessly creative and entertaining! I'll give my pumpkins to them after October is over. I love the "nope" sign - have seen those here, too! Sending good thoughts for you and Brad.

The squirrels in your neighborhood are so fresh! I can see why Scout likes to watch them! The dolls in display do look scary! I've never been afraid of dolls but I can see why someone would be! I love the signs in your neighborhood!

I don't know but the squirrels are scary in your neighborhood. Bunch of little nutty thugs. :D Love the Anti Trump sign. My daughter has one in the yard STD (Stop the Donald). I am proud of Scout sitting and watching the squirrels. Bobbin goes bounding after them into the field.
