To-Do-Tuesday: August 11, 2020

Well it's time for To-Do-Tuesday and post goals that we hope to achieve in the coming week.  Sponsored by our dear friend Roseanne, be sure to visit her and the other participants for inspiration!

It was a bust of a week for me.  I don't think I've wrapped my head around everything yet and joke that I have pandemic brain.  Did you ever have one of those weeks?  First there was the Isaias and the flooding and the wet basement.  The heat was and is awful and was best summarized by our local weather report:
And then of course, my husband got sent out again to another Covid spiking state.  It's been a lot of stress.

I had three goals last week and achieved only one:

1.  Clean the sewing room!  Done!!!

2. Finish the blocks for the scrap  quilt:  Not done and what was done has to be ripped out as I sewed the wrong side of the block, nice eh?  It was a ripping kind of week.  I worked on block 3 of my embroidered quilt and had to rip stitches out of that one too.

3.  Prepare some tops for the machine quilter, also not done.  So next week's goals are:

1- Get more and better sleep, it may help my sewing!

2- Prepare tops for the quilter

3-Complete the scrap quilt blocks.

It seems like most of the country is just wilting with heat waves right now.  Stay cool and safe and have a great week!

Covid brain -- done that, been there. "Liked" it so much I repeat it more than I want to admit. I agree with the horrible weather. We're having similar here in Va. Happy hubs and I are retired. Hope yours stays safe. Kudos for getting the sewing room cleaned. I should follow your lead -- mine looks like a tornado went through! Hope you have a productive week with lots of quilting time and no ripper use!

Yep, Covid Brain strikes here about every other week. That was my last week, didn't even go down to the studio for two.whole.days. Trying to make up for lost time this week. We're in for a 3H week (hot, humid, and hazy) in TN, as well.

Yes Covid brain is a pandemic in itself, I think;((( Plus that lost and slumped feeling that your life is whirling away...isolation is tough. Especially when people don't social distance or wear masks in your area (ask me how I know!!)
A whole lot of them anyway...

Good for you getting that cleaning done...my room is in dire need of a clean up...and I no longer know what I want to work on...even list making doesn't seem to help--yikes-- I guess I am at a low point..;((
Take care and stay vigilant...
Hugs from a far far away place Julierose

Hi Michele! Boy howdy, I agree about the stifling. HOT doesn't just cover it. Your sewing room looks fab - just in time for a wee bit cooler weather. And sleep is definitely a necessity or you end up with COVID-brain. I'm sure there's a better term for it, but you get the point. {{Hugs}}. Thanks for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne

Hi,
Your week sounds like mine...I had 5 teenagers visiting and didn't get much sewing done...time for some relaxing...have a great day!

Your sewing room looks lovely! That can be a big job to get through! I probably have Covid brain, too - it's manifesting itself in my being tired and annoyed by every little thing. 🙄 Who ever though back in March we'd still be dealing with all this in August? Sending good thoughts for your husband to stay safe and healthy!

I’m echoing all the sentiments expressed here! Our daughter is in Florida and confided she feels like she could “implode “. I can relate! The turmoil is “stifling” in addition to the weather,
