Last night I dreamt I was working in my garden. I woke up with a smile on my face...
Good morning! How are you doing? Things here are finally calming down and I hope to be able to catch up with everyone's blog this week.
It's Thursday and that means I like Thursdays sponsored by LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color. Check out other positive blog posts by visiting her here.
I like my new sneakers!! They are from a company called Hoka and I can't recommend them too much. It's like walking on deeping sponges. The shoes have also helped my back a lot!
We had snow over the weekend and it made the world look pretty, even if it was happening at night:
Scout thought snow was pretty wonderful too!
I have a few of these little hearts that my grandfather made before he was shipped out to the Navy to fight World War II:
The factory was in Bensalem PA and my Pop used plastic scraps to make little hearts for my grandmother. I know he wasn't the only man to do that because I have occasionally seen similar ones at flea markets.
This week has been crazy. Monday it was -15F when we woke up and this morning at 8:45 a.m. it is 58F!
Only 54 days until spring!!!
Have a great week!

We woke up to a bit of a blizzard this morning! Not unexpected in Colorado in January, but still... :) So I appreciated your garden pictures! I like the lights on the trellis out in the snow, too.
Those garden photos are sweet! And the red heart is priceless as well as your grandpa. It was 38 this morning but supposed to be 69 this afternoon- I'll be changing clothes several times! Have a great day. mary
Scout in the snow is adorable. I especially like the red heart, what special mementos! How wonderful that you have them.
I've smiled every time I've seen that weather/fabric map. That heart is so lovely and what a keepsake! Keep it dear.
Oh my gosh, negative temps! I think my brain would also be frozen. The red heart is pretty, how neat to have something that your grandfather made. Thanks for sharing your Hoka shoes. Finding comfy shoes is tough for me.
Hi Michele! That dream you awoke from with a smile . . . sounds like a nightmare to me. Bwhahahaha. While it does suggest that it is at least Spring in your dream, so I could take that path rather than the dirt, bugs, etc. path. All right, you talked me into smiling about your dream. Really, your new shoes have helped with your back?!!! How fabulous is that. Oh, and those hearts - made for your grandmother. That is just the sweetest thing I've ever heard and I'm SO incredibly glad that you have them to enjoy. How very special. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
Wow, that's some crazy temperature change! Your snow is so pretty at night. My grandfather used to make little plastic charms. Never hearts, but flowers. Thanks for jogging that memory. :-)
the view of your lit archway is lovely... so is the night shot of Scout. Milo eats snow and throws up... grrrr.... but it must be fun or he'd stop. We have had quite a bit of snow this year, much more than all of last winter already. It melts in the hard sun into ice because of the cold. We have the extreme temps too. As a friend said, good thing there is no climate change or things would be worse!! (funny, not funny...)
Your backyard is gorgeous, and scout is so cute out there. Does she love the snow as much as Bobbin? I would love to have the extreme temps we are sub zero. Brrrr.
