It's St. Lucia's Day!

When I was a kid, I read books about Sweden and how girls served their family coffee and baked goods.  I wished I could live in a little cupboard bed, wear a white gown and participate in the festival.  Never got to do it but have warm memories about whatever book it was...
It's a beautiful and sunny day here in Pennsylvania, have a wonderful day!

Hmmmmmmmmm when I was a kid I read Nancy Drew and the Bobsey Twins ... HA!!! Then I graduated to Harlequin romances ... but that's a story for another day!! ;)

Cold and sunny here today in Ontario - it's going to warm up this afternoon but the cold winter is definitely on it's way - brrrrrrrrr! I did some sewing this morning - I finished a pretty pink+cherries boxy bag and a matching zipper bag, and now I'm about to wrap a couple of gifts for the neighbours. Then it's time to bake -- treats for both kids to take to work tomorrow to share with their crews - it's a GREAT day!

Such a cute design! I don't remember much about St. Lucia. I read voraciously as a child, books were my best friends. I do like the sound of a little cupboard bed....
We're getting ready to go to the midnight opening of The Hobbit - excitement is running high around here, lol!
