4 a.m.

Stress is a real bummer.  It's made me eat too much, sleep too little, and neglect both home and garden.  Anyway, what to do at 4 a.m. when you can't sleep?  Make presents for the kids.  The halloween bag I made for my son Peter and his gal Jess to hold their halloween care package and the Christmas totes I just love how they turned out.

I 've been stopping by the dollar store on my way back from different excursions and have a nice collection of fairly nice cotton towels from there.  I added some of my favorite little pieces of leftover fabric to give them a festive look this holiday.  I love the ice skating fabric which is my favorite because it can be used after Christmas:

I know that middle of the night restless-and-unable-to-sleep scenario - usually my mind is racing like crazy with thoughts of projects I want to make, projects that I should have made ages ago (oops!) - projects that I want to buy fabric for - I think it's the sign of a creative mind. That's what I want to believe, anyways, lol.

I'm loving your gift bags and those tea towels are fantastic too!

Lovely projects Mickie. Especially for being made at 4 am! I have a porch flad with the Peanuts characters ice skating. I like for the same reason!

4am this morning I had to convince myself to get up out of the bed - I was on the verge of sleep when a quilt idea popped into my head and I had to draw it so I wouldn't forget. I can so relate to not sleeping, lol. My brain comes alive at 10pm and doesn't give up til the sun comes up.

You did a great job with those towels and the Halloween bag - at least you're productive when you can't sleep!

4am is a bit early. Old Simon got me up to go out at 5am. I figured I could let chickens out of coop but they were still roosting! LOL
Hope what is stressing you will resolve. (((sigh)))
