Greetings! It's time for "I like Thursdays" sponsored by LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color!
I like that I got to see my friend Beth last week. Both of us have been consumed with caring for family members for the last few years. Even though we talk once a week for about 2-3 hours on the phone, it's not the same as hugging your dear friend.
I'm up at least an hour before him every day. He finally gets up when I jingle the keys to the car! After we get home from the park, guess what he does? Eats a little and goes back to bed. He really doesn't get active until about 10 a.m. and then...he's a maniac!
Lana's prompt this week is:
"could you hula hoop? Did you or a friend have one and learn to use it? What do you remember about them?"
One or two of my friends had hula hoops. We tended to use them more when we played circus (jump through the hoop) then as hula hoops. To be honest, it wasn't as popular as jump rope or Chinese jump rope.
We were obssessed with the Chinese jump rope game and played even during recess at school. I loved it!
Wishing you a safe and happy weekend!

Giggles, your dog matches my energy level!
I remember Chinese jump rope! I think the kids at the school where I taught played it, too. The PE teacher often did a jump rope unit and then they would really get into to it, too. Lucky sounds like a dog I would get along with!
Oh my…I empathize with you and your friend, Beth. You’re right; those hugs are enormously precious! It sounds like your fur baby is definitely not a morning person! Yes, you’re right! Jump rope and Chinese jump rope were popular! I hadn’t thought of those activities for years! Lovely hexies! I’d love to hear the story about them! Happy week to you!
Ha! A dog that's not a morning person? How nice to get together with your friend. Your hexies look great.
