Hello!
It's Thursday and this week I actually remembered to post for "I like Thursdays" hosted by LeeAnna.
All hail! Lucky, King of the Couch!
I like Lucky. I'm the person who loves him the most and he knows it. As a stray that we rescued, he has his challenges. He isn't very interested in pleasing us and it makes training more difficult. I've learned to avoid other dogs, have him on a short leash, and generally avoid most people. Many of my neighbors love and accept that he will probably always jump and mouth their hands.
I tell most folks to stay away from him but many don't want to believe me because he is cute. Some actually have said to me, "why do you have a dog like that?"
I always tell these folks the same thing: everyone--especially dogs and children--deserved to be loved and cherished. This response seems to make some folks uncomfortable but that's my philosophy.
I like that it's gotten warmer.
The snow is almost all melted and I am praying we don't get anymore ice or snow this season.
Lucky and I are taking more frequent and longer walks. It's doing us both good!
Other than that, I'm just hanging in the sewing room and getting things done. Hope you are having fun sewing as well!
Have a safe and happy day!

How good of you to give Lucky a loving home. Hopefully he'll take to the training one of these days.... He's a cutie.
I so enjoyed reading about Lucky and you. I think you are both lucky to have found each other in this big world.
My daughter has a rescue and she's tried and tried to love him help him and give him the benefit of the doubt. I was surprised to hear that she is giving him back. She's gone overboard and defended him and made all kinds of adjustments but it just isn't working for her and her family. It makes me sad but she's lasted longer than I would have with all his aggressiveness and biting. I'm glad there are people out there, like you, who want every dog to have a chance. She tried really hard.
well! harumph ! to people judging Lucky. He's doing what he thinks is protecting, and Milo was mouthy too, His dad has torn jackets to prove that. You warn people and they don't believe you oy
you should have a fake form for them to sign before approach, it would cut down on the stupid.
we're considering adopting a puppy mill dog but lots of patience will be needed, and I appreciate all rescue info you've learned.

Oh, I believe your love will win him over!
I'm with Jocelyn! Both you and Lucky are lucky to have found each other! I have a friend here who has a rescue dog who doesn't much like people except for his people, and I'm okay with not petting or approaching him. He just needed a good home!
