It's time to celebrate the good in life!

On Thursdays, a number of blogs spread happiness by sharing what is good in the world.  It's our way of filling the internet with positive energy and hosted by LeeAnnna at Not Afraid of Color.  Be sure to visit the other bloggers by visiting her website!

I have been fortunate to be surrounded by love these past few weeks.  Things I'm grateful for:

My daughter Josie came up right away and spent the weekend with me after my husband returned to work.  Happily, I remembered to give her the star quilt I had finished for her (her favorite color is red) and we had a great visit!

Last weekend we had more joy visit.  My youngest brother, niece, and (oh joy!) baby Remi came up for an overnight visit.  It was a great time!  Nothing is as healing as a baby!

Remi playing paddy cake with her Pop-pop, my kid brother!

Remi is smart as a button and full of activity.  She'll be 1 in May and it was delightful to have her around.

The weather has been delightfully warm and the days are getting longer.  Always wonderful to look forward to spring!

Our prompt this week from LeeAnna is "how did you know that someone was 'the one'?"  Yes, I knew my husband was the one but most importantly, I was older and trusted my gut instincts.  I still think that knowing who you are and your limitations is the most important aspect of one's relationships.  And here we are, nearly 27 years since we married and we still work as a team and still make each other laugh.

Lastly, I am so grateful for the outpouring of love that has surrounded us since Scout passed.  My husband got home this week and was amazed at all the cards and love we received.  We will adopt another dog and even found a breeder we are interested in interviewing.  But I need time yet.  And I need to get my other hand operated on and healed before I can handle the  training of a puppy.

Wishing you a safe and happy weekend!

It's always so great to spend time with our grown kids, but also the little ones like Remi! She definitely looks like a happy girl. Spring is coming - can't wait!

Remi is a cutie! How lovely you still work as a team after all those years. Good luck with the surgery!

What a joyful post! Nothing like spending time with a baby and loved ones to raise ones spirits. Lovely photos and thanks for sharing, Michele.

that picture of Remi with her arms open, and her open face is worthy of being on Baby Magazine!

Your brother has an open face too. And your daughter with her red shoes! You have a nice family.
I got married later too, and would have chosen the wrong one if I hadn't lived that long before making the choice. I miss Scout too and think of her often when I look at Milo and it's so close to home the grief

Oh, Michele. I'm so glad you've been surrounded by so much love. My heart has been aching for you. Baby Remi is certainly a salve for your heart and your spirit. That picture of her playing patty-cake is just priceless and I know it brings a big smile to your face. {{Hugs}} a whole bunch. ~smile~ Roseanne
