It's To-Do Tuesday!
Time to post goals for this week!
Last week's goals included finishing the binding of Jessica's quilt! It look great on her porch bed! The dogs like it too...Scout loves the porch bed and will park herself there whenever possible. Cuddling with Jessica (and her treats) doesn't hurt either! And of course Scout loves to be with her boyfriend Mack (the border collie).
I hit a snafu this past week with my bird blocks. I finished my hourglass blocks and then I finished my half square triangles but I felt uneasy---like I forgot to do something. I did forget to do something!! I forgot to review the directions again before I sewed my patches. So now I have 120 HSTs that I can't use for the quilt and I'm almost out of the aqua scraps I had used to make them 😒
Fortunately, Connecting Threads still has this fabric and I ordered more! Plus I decided to order some backing fabric in this fabric so I have to wait until that arrives before I can resume work on this piece.
In the meantime, I hope piece some more baby quilt tops because I had donated a lot of them recently to friends and I always like to keep some on hand. So that will be my sewing project for the next week.
In the garden, this week I need to prune my rhododendrons and do some other maintenance. So I'll be busy working away.
I hope you are having a wonderful week and enjoying the good weather! Linking up to Chrisknits and please visit the other bloggers there!
Have a safe and happy day!

How lovely....a porch bed! Nice quilt, too! I'm sorry about your mishap, but so glad you were able to find the fabric again!
The porch looks like a neat place to have a bed, and Jessica's quilt looks perfect there! Fun to see the dogs enjoying it, too. Those 120 HSTs could become a new quilt! Glad you were able to get more of the fabric for the quilt you're working on.
Hi,
That porch looks so inviting for an afternoon
nap. Cute quilt! Have a great day!
Love my quilt so much!
My son's nephew is making porch beds and I can't wait to get one for our new enclosure!
Oh no on the snafu! I'm sure you'll find something fun to make with those extra HST's though--I've been doing a lot with my scrap ones. This isn't a full pic but I'm currently making a runner with these blocks which I thought were a lot of fun (http://livelylatte.blogspot.com/2021/06/2021-tuesday-to-do-20.html)
You would need a little more background fabric but they go together very quickly.
