I like Thursdays: March 11, 2021

Happy Thursday and welcome to "I like Thursdays" a day when we post positive things to brighten the internet.  Check Lee Anna's blog for more positive bloggers!

We still have some snow out there.
But the daffodils are starting to surface in the garden!
I'm hoping more snow will melt today.  It's supposed to go up to 70!  Still, our forecasters today are all aghast about the snowfall that Colorado could get!  Thoughts going out to Diann (Little Penguin Quilts) and our friends in Colorado!

Have you seen this video?  The Yeti Blanket vs. Grandma's Quilt!  I think it is great!  In case I didn't upload this right, the link is here:

I've been working on my circles applique but last night my hand ached so I'll have to slow down :(  It's a shame because I'm enjoying these:

I'm not even sure what I'm going to do with these blocks yet but for now, I've been resting my knee while I sew.  Time to rest the hand now :(

Miss Kerry is going to get spayed tomorrow.  Scout will miss her during the coming week.  Not really sure what I will do to substitute their frequent visits with each other.

I finished Jenny's quilt earlier this week and that made me happy!  This is one of two quilts I want to give her.  This is the Christmas scrap quilt and I'm now working on her batik lap quilt.

This is my favorite fabric from this scrap quilt!  The sweet dancing ice skaters!

I hope you have a safe and happy day!

I am envious of your daffodils. We had great weather and higher temps this week, but windy. I need 24 hours of 40 degree weather. Got the weather, but the wind prohibits me from spraying my fruit trees. LOL the video is hilarious. What is it about hands? I know I have days that they just won't work right. Poor Scout will be lonely this week. Great likes.

That video is too funny! Those little circle blocks look like fun, sorry your hands get sore. Hope your pup's procedure goes smoothly and she's back home with Scout soon. What a pretty quilt finish!

My tulips and daffodils are popping up too. We have been having temps in the high 40's and 50's. I'm so ready for spring. Love your circle colorful. The Christmas Scrap Quilt is beautiful. Have a great day!

Thanks for the good thoughts, Michele! It will be interesting to see how our snowstorm turns out. Glad you're having some good weather finally. Jenny's quilt is wonderful - I really love that design!

Hi Michele! I'm sorry that your hand is aching like your knee. Rest should alleviate that and allow them to heal. Love the Yeti vs. quilt video! I am enjoying your circle blocks, too. They look like great fun. ~smile~ Roseanne

Your circles are looking great. Hope the hands (and the knee) feel better soon. Yay for a spay - good luck! So much melting snow - I hope our bulbs start sprouting soon. Your scrappy quilt looks lovely. Good likes!

I heard about the Yeti/Quilt comparison video just yesterday and was glad to have found it here or I would have forgotten to look it up. Hilarious and true! He did a good job. Thanks for posting!
