Greetings and salutations!
It's Thursdays and a bunch of us fill the internet with positive energy. For more positive posts, visit our hostess LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color!
Spring continues to arrive although it has been cool and rainy most days. I haven't gotten much done in the garden besides attacking weeds because of weather and allergy challenges but at least the tulips are beginning to bloom!
Scout and I continue to maintain our walking schedules. I'm looking forward to when it is warmer so I can really cut her hair more.
I had a number of quilts that needed binding and I had assumed that I would be working on that for the rest of the year because of my work and travel schedule. This past week I finished the last quilt that needed binding, it's another baby quilt and I love the sheep fabric and the quilting that my friend Terri did!
Now I'm on to tackling UFOs from my table. I started yesterday and finished a quilt top for my best friend, Linda. I'd really like to finish more of these projects; some will take longer than others but it isn't like I have a busy schedule these days.
Last night I made a spinach pie for dinner for us. We hadn't had it in a while. Normally I made a couple of the pies for holiday brunches but this year the kids' had new partners and we didn't see them until dinnertime or visited Christmas Eve. Easter of course got cancelled. So I made one for us and it was a nice change of pace. Brad and most folks in the family always topped theirs with salsa; I like it just fine plain.
If you want the recipe, let me know. It's about as easy as can be which is why it was always a great brunch recipe. This time I used spinach but you can make it with just about vegetable or meat in it but we used what we had. It made a nice meal for a cold and dreary day as well.
I hope you are fairing well! Stay safe and healthy! Have a great day!

these poodles grow hair like crazy don't they??? Milo's hairy and I just did it two weeks ago. Your pie sounds good, I like spinach, any vegetable really. Thanks Mickie, for keeping it pawsitive and real...

I always love seeing your garden photos, the blooms are so pretty! I didn't get any tulips or daffodils this year. Not sure what happened there! Good for you, getting those quilts finished up! And I would love your spinach pie recipe - that sounds yummy!
Hi Michele! Oh, those flowers are SO pretty and definitely Spring. That spinach pie looks exactly like one I make - just seeing the picture makes my mouth water. YUM. ~smile~ Roseanne
That spinach pie looks good - I'd be interested in the recipe. The sheep are adorable, and the quilting is delightful. I'm hoping for a little warmer weather. It was 27 this morning! Brrrr! We need to get out walking more.
Yes you have spring there for sure. It's trying its best here but staying cool overnights. I can't wait to start raking in the first week in May when supposedly everything has hatched or crawled away. You are going to have to post your recipe link next time because I would like it too.
Kudos for stitching for friends, you kind person you!
Blue tulips! I don't think I've even seen those colors in person. How fun to have tulips growing in your garden. The other day, while pulling weeds, I discovered a couple of iris were in bloom. I love surprises. :-)
I am jealous of the flowers that are blooming in your area. Good job getting some binding done. I used to make spinach pie for Jeff. Thanks for that great memory.
Very nice blog. I was referred to read your blog by the author of Crafts. Cavies and Cooking. She recommended your spinach pie. It sounds yummy. If you wouldn't mind sending me a copy, my email is embudreau@mindspring.com Also I was wondering if that white dog, on your page with the other cuties, is a Great Pyrenees or a Golden? Thanks.
