Good Morning! How is your week going? I am happy to report that we finally got some rain here in town. Overnight, we had new buds on the roses which are now blooming!
Unfortunately, there is no more rain forecasted for the next week so I'm back to watering a bit. But at least the temperatures have been wonderful. I've had all the windows open in the house!
I'm enjoying Ken Burns new series on Country Music. Have you been watching it?
I haven't been gardening because I'm not supposed to be in direct sunlight with the new medication I'm on. Instead I've been reveling in the fact that I could work in the attic and have been sewing a lot. Yesterday was a cutting day.
There's just no substitute for a good rain!

Three more baby quilts ready to assemble!
Not sure who this lap quilt is for but I wanted to use up some fabric.
I need to start some scrap quilts soon too. My scrap drawers are a bulging!
What have you been up to?
Have a wonderful week and be sure to visit more positive posts at LeeAnna's here.

Hi Michele! I like your scrap drawers. It looks like you have them nice and organized. I also enjoy the fabrics you've picked out for some baby quilts. That one looks like giraffes with blue - that's a fun one. What's your go-to pattern for those? Happy Thursday to you! ~smile~ Roseanne
we had rain last night, it felt nice and we kept walking in it. Yes the scrap bins are bulging... with treasures! Leeanna
Your flowers are just beautiful, Michele! I love yellow roses! Glad you got some rain. Looks like you're getting a lot done in your sewing room, too!
Your flowers are lovely. Way to make lemonade out of lemons by getting inside stuff accomplished.
I'm always up for a scrap quilt -- have fun with that!
Yes, do be careful and stay out of the sun. Never worth taking a chance.
Beautiful flowers and so sad about lack of rain. I realized now several bushes did poorly here because of our hot July and I didn't think to water them till too late. You are productive in the sewing room which is wonderful to see.
Love your little orange flowers! Glad you've found plenty of indoor stuff to keep you busy. Can you go out if it's overcast? Or is that even a risk (I'm guessing UV).
I am dying to get to my scrappy projects, but gotta finish the sister's quilt first! (and your comments on my blog continue to get weeded out from my email - but I want you to know I appreciate them nonetheless!)
Such pretty flowers! I have lots of scraps too. I'm always making scrap quilts but those pesky scraps just keep growing!
