You have to keep your sense of humor when every weekend drops about 2.5-3.5 inches of rain. We are in for sunny weather now and hopefully one dry weekend. Meanwhile in the garden, the weeds are having a festival but so are the plants. We are under major construction in the garden.
Gardens change. This year we are doing a major overhaul because we took a tree down in our backyard and now my neighbor has had to take two of her trees. Suddenly the back garden is full of sunlight and I'm scrambling to move shade loving plants and replace them with sun lovers. All this while doing an overhaul of my front yard for an event next summer.
Last year was full of rain and so is this year and plants are spreading everywhere so I'm also dividing and sharing plants. Last weekend my best friend Linda came to collect a truck full of plants. This weekend, I'm delivering another load to my other bestie Beth.
It's purple week in the garden:
Yesterday morning was lovely and Scout and I enjoyed walking through the park. We saw "Big Blue" one of our resident herons and old men enjoying a morn of fishing.
I like bird baths:
This is a new one for me but I like the top piece because it is perfect for butterflies to gather for a drink.
In other news, I recently acquired a new quilt for my collection:
I like the blue bows in this piece. They were the two favorite colors of my Nana Betty. She was also a passionate gardener and I think of her every time I am working in the garden.
Have a wonderful week and be sure to look at other positive posts via LeeAnna (our hostess with the mostess)

Lovely garden pix...beautiful quilt--I like those blue bows too...hugs, Julierose
That cartoon is funny! Ottawa still has a state of emergency for certain parts of the area. And still lots of cloud and rain in the forecast but it is improving because the ground is no longer frozen so the water can drain properly.
But anyway, you are enjoying lovely blooming; I love your garden shots. And what a pretty quilt! I need a bird bath too...surely we will have to get sunny days soon.
Hi Michele! I hear you about keeping the humor - and that cartoon is one great joke. We've got a "HUGE" about to pass through now and then another later today. Send the ark this way next time Noah passes by. In between, I'm enjoying the trees budding out and the cardinal pair singing outside my work window. ~smile~ Roseanne
Lovely "I Like" list, especially the beautiful flowers!
Ooh - love all those purple flowers you have. All that rain - I hope you find dry land soon. That bird bath is pretty cool looking.
Beautiful garden pics. I am envious. I still have too much mud to do much of anything in the garden. Gorgeous quilt. I am in love with your birdbath.
Your purple flowers are so pretty! I hope you do have some dry days to work in your garden! That's a lovely quilt - so neat how the quilter made the bows look 3 dimensional by using two different shades of blue.
Gorgeous flowers! I really like that birdbath, so pretty. Hope you have a great weekend!
I actually laughed out loud at the cartoon. Thanks. Your garden is just stunning. That quilt with the blue bows is a nice addition to your collection. Have a great weekend. mary
and bees... they need a sip too. That's a lot of rain, but we had 24 hours of snow with about 6-7" oy. Spring in the Rockies. Love to you and to the pretty scout.LeeAnna
