Greetings and welcome to another day of "I Like Thursday" hosted by LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color. This week must be the pink edition; I noticed the theme after I did the post!
This week I love
My son Peter who brought me a Martha Washington geranium and took me out to lunch for Mother's Day!
I love spending time with him!
and I like
Pink Pathways:
Tree Peonies:
We had a bumper crop of blooms this year which is a bit unfortunate as it has rained so much and the flowers are looking a bit soggy.
Rain chains are good too!
I finally got one for the downspout where we once collected rainwater for the garden. It works well!
I love this quilt that Carol completed yesterday. Carol has really good blood and has donated something like 100 gallons of platelettes to the blood bank. She is donating this quilt to the blood bank for an auction/fund raiser they are doing. Isn't it absolutely perfect?
And finally, I like being able to plant the annuals. Around here Mother's Day is the traditional time the frost is over.
This year I planted pink impatiens, begonias and petunias!
Have a wonderful and safe week!

Hi Michele,
How fabulous that picture of the bleeding heart. I got a quick glimpse of mine just this morning. I'll have to investigate it further after work. I am SO tempted to start planting but it is really too darn early according to the Farmer's Almanac. Oooooh, that geranium is so pretty - I love the two-tone. I'll have to look for them when I go to the garden center. And the pink path and Scout - sweet. Rain chains - I was just debating whether I should put my rain barrel out this year or not. Carol sounds like a good egg - and the blood center is such a nice cause. I have given my share of blood (and fainted) and can see why a quilt may be needed there. ~smile~ Roseanne
Love all your pink blooms! I love to plant my annuals on Mother's Day, too. It's a tradition I always look forward to!
pink scout...pretty pic.
I wonder if the pups collected rocks to amuse themselves out on that concrete pad. I know Milo never got enough food, and think he used to pick them up as kibble in the beginning. Now he just loves the way they feel in his mouth. He rolls them around, hides them so we won't take them away, fights us when we pry them out.
I love all the pink!!!
I also love all the pink. Fun stuff. Never heard of rain chains - those are cute.
Your flowers are all so pretty! I have a begonia inside, I wonder if I should put it outside now that it has warmed up? It doesn't seem particularly happy inside and it's warm enough out for my petunias and stuff to be flourishing. I'll have to try it!
I love a good pink post ... and it appears that Scoutessa loves a good pink pathway, and Carol loves a good pink donation quilt --- wooooooooo! :) Happy (belated, sorry!) Mother's Day - I'm glad it was a good one for you :)
