We are staying close to home these days and so I've gotten some sewing in. I just finished binding this quilt on Saturday evening.
You might remember the quilt I made for my friend and neighbor Kathy. Her niece saw her quilt and loved it. So when the same niece was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, I had to put a quilt together that resembled Kathy's. I wanted it to be upbeat.
This poppy fabric seemed to fit the bill (I had none of the original poppy fabric left).
Per Kathy's request, Terri (Trotter) incorporated hearts in the quilting.
It was a fairly quiet weekend. The heat is bothering Seamus more than ever and he is on medication around the clock. We have a fan set-up just for him (his usual summer delight). I don't see much change in him yet but will be speaking to the vet later this afternoon to follow-up. If you have had a dog with copper associated chronic hepatitis, I would love to hear from you. I'm still learning about this condition and am still emotional at times.
Thanks and have a great day!

Lucky boy with his own fan - I hope he'll share when we visit :D Didn't the doctor say it would (could?) take 10 days for him to start feeling his old self - it's only been a few days, so the medication probably still needs to kick in fully.
The poppy quilt is beautiful - that fabric is gorgeous, and the heart quilting is perfect :) You're really getting things done! I'm putting the finishing touches on a duffle bag - I want to post it to the Christmas finishes linky party for May, so that forced me to get off my duff and get it finished - as soon as it's done I can take it outside for a photo :)
Maple syrup hugs!
Gorgeous quilt, hon! Oh poor Seamus - what a lucky boy to have you as his mommy, I know you're taking the best care of him possible.
