Before Christmas, I had the girls over to play and make presents. On my invitation, I invited them to "poodle cottage" but of course, after I mailed the invitation, I realized there was a better name for our home:
This is my year to try different things and use up what I have; so I used some of my old buttons along the bottom, also used embroidery stitches to quilt the whole thing. I used the seed stitch along the bottom of the hill as my quilting and another for the sky (all white on white), mostly as an experiment. You can't tell on these photos, but I was really surprised how flat it lay.
I also just want to be content with what I have and accept that this little house is "just right" for my husband and I. I've been getting rid of a lot of things and that helps!
Just Right Cottage!
It came to me after I thought about putting this quote at the bottom of this vintage pattern:

I'm still working on UFOs (this was on the list). This month I had some health challenges (not the flu), I'm okay now and looking forward to getting more work done!
Have a great day! It's snowing and we are expecting ice later so I'm hibernating. Stay safe and warm!

This is soooo pretty! I love how you added the buttons. Just right cottage, for sure!
The pattern is adorable! I too am getting rid of lots of "stuff" I want a simpler life....
Oh Mickie you finished it brilliantly - I love it so much!! I'm still working on mine, but every evening when I sit down to stitch I almost fall asleep instead, lol. It's going slooooowly.
We got the ice last night - can't wait til my son gets home to see how his commute was this morning, lol. It's still quite thick out there. But hey, 56 tomorrow - yay! Stay safe and dry!
Its adorable...and LOVE the buttons! A wonderful touch.
Your work is always impeccable, so glad you share with us!
Thank You!
I'm glad you're getting better, and I can say with 100% certainty that yes, your house is *just right* - especially with you and the puppers in it! (I'd have added hubby to that but I haven't met him yet, lol). Sadly it's sometimes (frequently?) hard to be content with what we have -- it's something to aspire to!
