Happy "To-Do-Tuesday!" We list our goals for the week which is now sponsored by Texas Quilt Gal. Please join or visit the blogs here.
I wasn't sure how much I could accomplish while Mom is recuperating and hadn't posted for weeks. I did manage to sneak in some sewing time and finish two baby tops. I have two more to do (the blocks are below) but I'm putting them both on hold.
I'm just not sure what to sash them with or if I have enough fabric. I'll tackle them after the holidays.Scout injured her hip or upper leg. We don't know how it happened. She began limping and was very uncomfortable Sunday night. Our vet did take a look at it yesterday. He agreed she had bruised the area somehow and she is on anti-inflammatories and rest. Fortunately she was already scheduled for a teeth cleaning tomorrow (Wednesday) and if her leg isn't doing any better, he will X-ray it while she is under anesthesia. This morning she is moving better (she spent all of yesterday sleeping).
Still, we know that when the pup is feeling better, we have to be even more vigilant that she doesn't re-injure it. It will remain a quiet week for Scout. I won't be going to the second floor to sew since she follows me everywhere and is not allowed to do steps.
So this week is the perfect week to stay on the first floor as I have Christmas prep to do. Also I have a quilt to bind for my neighbor and I always do that on the first floor.
To-Do List:
1- Continue to care for Mom. Scout isn't allowed over there since Kerry is too rough.
2-Make Christmas food (it can all be made ahead of time) for my Mom and husband.
3-Bake Christmas cookies.
4-Bind quilt.
Have a safe and happy holiday dear friends!

Take care of your sweet girl and enjoy your Christmas week!
I'm so sorry about your Mom and her complications. I hope she is getting better. Your Scout looks like a sweet dog, and I hope he recovers quickly. I'm amazed you were able to finish two baby quilts with all you've got going on. Those are pretty blocks for the next one.
Enjoy your baking! Will your Mom be able to come to your house for Christmas?
Thank you for linking to To Do Tuesday!
I hope your mom is doing better now, Michele. And Scout - poor baby! I hope she recuperates quickly, too. Wishing you a peaceful and restful Christmas week!
Hi,
I really like your baby quilt...so cute. Hi hope Scout
is feeling good soon. As well as your mom. Have a
great day!
Hope your mom is doing better!! Merry Christmas to all!
Best wishes for a continued recovery for your mom and Scout too! Take a bit of time for yourself! Happy Holiday!
I've been baking too - Sam's favorite Tatoes. If you think you might need some 30s fabric to finish your sashing, you are welcome to my stash. Merry Christmas!
