I Like Thursdays: November 26, 2020

 Happy Thanksgiving!

We are grateful for so many things and so many people including all our blogging friends!

Thanksgiving is the best day to I have I Like Thursdays!  Hosted by Lee Anna at Not Afraid of Color, we bloggers fill the internet with positive posts!

I am grateful that everyone in my family is healthy and as far as I know, everyone is isolating.  Brad is beginning to recover.  He's in a lot of pain but I talked to the doctor's office and they say that is exactly what is supposed to happen right now.  Brad has been a good patient.  Yesterday he did his first outdoor walk--just 10 minutes but it's a start.  It will be a while before he is off the cane.

I have a sweet story to share with you today.  My cousin's wife shared this adorable post on facebook:

Life advice:  Marry someone who will make spray to "protect" your kids' windows from snakes and spiders when they have two nights of bad dreams about "the spiders crawling up in my bed and want to snuggle me!"  Mom and Dad are tired!

Isn't that sweet?
The little girl sprayed her windows with the bug be gone and I'm sure it made her feel safer!

I'm grateful for humor that has helped sustain us through this long year!

And sweet dogs that follow me like a shadow!

I'm grateful for canned Cranberry Jelly!

And lovely flowers!

I'm thanksful for our foremother suffragists who fought for our right to vote!

I'm grateful for all the fabric that I've hoarded for decades and allowed me to safely shop my stash this past year!

I'm grateful for you!

Have a safe and happy holiday!

Happy Thanksgiving, Michele! Glad Brad is progressing as he should, and hope the pain diminishes each day. Loved all your thankful things, especially for humor, which does make a huge difference these days!

I am happy to hear that all is as it should be for your hubby. The body has to heal which is a slower process the older we are too. It will be baby steps no doubt. Meanwhile, I enjoyed reading your list...and your embroideries and applique too. Yes to women getting the vote...kind of frightening to think we had to fight for that. Tony and I are isolating still and now we say we are taking it one day at a time.

Happy Thanksgiving! I love that protective spray! I had not thought of how useful a big fabric stash would be right now! Good things to be grateful for. :-)

Hi Michele! That's so great to hear that Brad is walking outside!!! I'll bet that makes him feel great, too. Ten minutes is a fabulous starting point. Love the Be Gone spray. I'll have to remember that myself! Happy Thanksgiving, dear friend. ~smile~ Roseanne
