I Like Thursdays: August 8, 2019

Good Morning!  How are you today?  It's Thursday and time to post positive things as part of LeeAnna's "I like Thursdays" day.  You can read more positive posts at her website!

I like marigolds!  Go figure, I've been gardening here for decades and never used them before.  I like that the foliage stays nice (unlike cosmos or zinnias) and it has a fresh scent, not overly sweet.  Definately going to use this plant again in my next garden!

We were certain this butterfly bush had died but it is back and even flowering which is such a nice suprise!

Scout has played a few more times with Otis, the puppy that lives next to Mom.  He's a bit mouthy and wild yet.  Scout isn't really sure what to make of his biting her collar and his attempts to get her ears.  Fortunately, he tires easily after a few rounds with Scout!

Have a great day!

I like marigolds too! I haven't planted them in a long time until this year and I've been pleased with how long they've continued flowering, even as it's gotten hotter. I got webworm in some of them (so weird) but just hacked that part off and the rest of them seemed as hearty as ever. Yours are just lovely!

I love marigolds - mine have reseeded themselves every year for many years in one garden! That puppy with Scout looks a bit scary. It's good he tires out easily!

The marigolds look very beautiful. Scout and Otis are great together and we are happy Otis tires out quickly. Thanks for sharing the lovely photos. Have a fantastic rest of your day.

I always buy marigolds for my summer planters because of their longevity which can’t be beat as long as you deadhead. So colourful the garden too. Love that Scout.

I love the color of marigolds! It's so rich. I love how dogs will make friends with each other. My two cats have been together for 5 years and I'm not sure they even like each other!
