Can you believe it is August already?
Welcome to "I Like Thursdays" hosted by LeeAnna.

I live in a neighborhood full of many creative people.
This week I adored the creative signs that someone posted for their yard sale last week. Here's one example:
The butterflies, hummingbirds, and finches are all active in the garden these days. The cleome is blooming:
And so is the Swan Hydrangea:
I remember talking to one nurseryman who didn't like the bush.
He said he didn't like the way the flowers hung down but that is exactly what I like about the Swan. It's like a tree laden with fruit but heavy instead with large flowers:
Still, we find things to do with her. She visits some of her dog friends and scampers in their yard for a few minutes until Mom says it is too hot to be running anymore. This past week, she got to play with Otis. Otis lives aside of my Mom's and is about 2 months old.
Today begins our year long celebration of the suffragists over at the Pennsylvania Piecemaker blog.
We are kicking off our celebration with a giveaway and hope you join us over there!
Have a great day!

Hi Michele! Oh, that photo of Scout running flat out is so fabulous. Poor girl - I'm sorry she doesn't get her walks in but safety does come first. ~smile~ Roseanne
your garden is so pretty, and I love the blossoms hanging on that tree, and agree it's gorgeous. Scout is so pretty, and fun to see her playing with the little puppy. Milo met lots of under-ones last weekend.
Did you go to the yard sale? Was that handsome guy there?

Beautiful garden--i the love the picture of your poodle with the "flying" ears..so cute hugs, Julierose
Beautiful flowers on that bush, Michelle! I always enjoy "visiting" your garden! Glad Scout has friends to romp with - it must be hard to have to limit the walks because of the heat.
The yard sale sign made me smile, and we definitely do garage sales here!!!! Enjoyed the doggie fun :)
Enjoyed reading your last post too Michele. I love seeing other people’s stash. Lol. Love your new header photo...gorgeous! I think that hydrangea is gorgeous too as well as your other blooms. There have been warnings here about the pavement being too hot for paws. Scout is just adorable.
LOL. I like that yard sale sign. Leaping dogs! What fun!
Our cats don't go outside, but I can understand how much care needs to be taken in the heat with all of our furry friends when it's hot. Love your flower pictures. Joining you from I Like Thursday. Have a great weekend!
