Blessings...

I've been the recipient of a lot of blessings lately...although to some it might not seem so.  It's been a spring of breakdowns at our little cottage.  The water heater, vacuum cleaner, lawn mower, central air and leaky roof is just a few of the things that have occurred.  However, I think that something is telling me that there is always goodness in this world to renew my gratitude...

 Like the fact that my husband was actually home when the water heater broke and his friend (a plumber) got us a good deal on the water heater and my husband installed it.

The lawn mower broke and our neighbor stepped up and mowed our lawn for us.  And then, my step son said the mower was toast but not to worry because he has a push one (like ours) that he doesn't use.  

When the a/c and the roof went at the same time, I was trying to find humor but instead got a blessing.  The roofer said, "I have a window a/c unit you can use until yours is replaced." And he arrived the next day with it and set it up for me (hubby was out of town).

Nik my stepson is actually in the HVAC business and he is here today fixing the unit for us.  And all the while, I tried to keep upbeat the last blessing came when my husband's overtime finally showed up in his check and paid for all of this.  

Blessings.  I'm not sure what I've done to deserve them, but my life has been filled with examples of how when one window closes, another opens.  Thanks to friends, family, and God for the blessings of this month.
