I was under the weather last Thursday and still haven't checked out the blogs. I'm hoping to catch up this weekend!
I did have a lot to like! Sandra and Dennis were here from Canada!

This is from the day we went to tour Crystal Cave :) We had a wonderful visit and I am still missing them. Scout is missing Dennis in particular. That dog adored Dennis and would sprawl all over him for attention!
I like fabric shopping with friends. I only bought what I could use and Sandra is of the same mind.
We just have to use what we have!
I like finding a small clump of water lilies in our park's lagoon!
I love the finches which frequent my garden!
Have a wonderful week!

Flood report:
The weather has been dreadful. Normal precipitation for our city is 1.76 inches of rain. We were over 8 inches as of Tuesday (we are probably at 10 inches now). I'm grateful we live on top of the hill. We may have some dampness but not the flooding that others are coping with these days. West of us is flooded again and there is standing water everywhere.
This puddle not only has ducks swimming in it but had a few trout too. Some nice fishermen tried to get the trout back into the creek yesterday.

trout in the puddle! What's the world coming to??? We had a violent storm here two nights ago. Flooding, hail, tornadoes, wind. It doesn't rain here, it terrorizes the citizens!
Scout is a pretty girl. I hope you feel much better soon.
Wow...that is a lot of water! Beautiful dog. I wish I had your self control when it comes to fabric shopping.
I love goldfinches. My drawer of fabric (yes, I know I'm a really strange quilter for only one drawer of fabric) is threatening not to close. I've told myself I need to get cracking on using what I have before I add to it! I have a ton of scrappy projects I want to do, but not the time to get to them.
I love that Scout has a crush. :-)
Hooray for visits with good friends! Those can be the best times. Love the photo of Scout - she looks very regal! Glad she enjoyed your company, too.
Hi Michele! Trout in a puddle - now that's a new one. Scout did look quite put out, missing Dennis. Isn't that funny the bond they can make with someone they rarely see?! I love dogs. Goodness, can't we send some of that rain to the West coast?! Balance, that's all we need. But I fear we are getting to the point of no return as far as weather goes. I hope you are feeling much better now. Happy Thursday! ~smile~ Roseanne
