I've been eyeing two sweet children's hankies at the flea market for months... and yesterday, I finally broke down and purchased them. It isn't that they were expensive, I just wasn't sure what I would do with them, although I might consider making a mini quilt containing various kid's hankies...
These are super cute though. The handkerchiefs have a neat component...the animals hankies aren't tacked down but move for playful fingers (on the dog it is actually removable from the pocket) and I imagine it encouraged some sweet children to use their hankies instead of their sleeves :) Anyway since everyone we know seems to be sick with head colds, I figured it was a good time to post them:

I haven't seen hankies like those before.
My son and I love to shop the flea markets around town and ladies hankies are fairly easy to find and inexpensive but...my mantra is "I will NOT collect hankies...I wll NOT collect hankies...". I keep trying to clear out the clutter around here and another collection would be a step in the wrong direction. I do love looking at other people's collections! Thanks for sharing these.
Uh oh - I woke up with the beginnings of a cold this morning - that might be the first cold caught by exposure to a blog post, lol! So what ARE you going to do with these two cuties, now that you're in ufo-busting mode? Can you incorporate them into something you already have on the go?
Oh my gosh those are ADORABLE. I think a mini-quilt is a splendid idea, Mickie!
Oh those are so cute! I adore the vintage kids hankies, but have yet to see any like these! What a score! I'm with Allie, a mini~quilt would be adorable!
