Hunkering down

The siblings:  Greta laying down and Teddy sitting up for photo.
To my dogs, a crate=safety.  During our recent storms, Greta has been visiting Teddy's since she doesn't have one of her own.  Sometimes Teddy finds this vexing, as in : "who's been sleeping in my bed?" But now they are going crating together.

Here in the Northeast we have had so much rain, nearly 8 inches so far in the last 3 weeks and more expected with Hurricane Irene.  Our trouble will be be high winds and tree problems...either branches falling down or whole trees are known to fall when the ground is this saturated.   In our neighborhood, even slight storms can cause power outages (as it did already this morning).  We'll be posting as we can and pray that those along the east coast will all be safe.
Take care!

Batten down the hatches. I will be thinking of all the NE and hope that it isn't too awful. Be Safe!

I've said prayers for all those in Hurricane's path. It is a sick feeling not knowing how things will go. Keep your spirits up and hug them poodles!

Stay safe! I don't think the storms are over here yet either - last night was really crazy - the power was out for a bit and the thunder and lightning scared poor Zoomer half to death - he spent most of the evening huddled "in safety" (in his mind, hehe) on the basement stairs! Needless to say we now have candles and a lighter at the ready for the next power outage!

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. That's a lot of poodle for one crate!:) You should see our 100 lab lab trying to fit in the 6 inches under our bed when the fireworks start of 4th of July!
