Balloons in the air: Things I like on October 25, 2018

Good morning!   It's 29 degrees out this morning and yet, I'm grateful I don't live where our hostess-with-the-mostess lives!  She's had snow already!   LeeAnna sponsors "I like Thursdays" and you can find other cool positive messages (and goodness gracious we need them these days) at Not Afraid of Color!

Scout and I continue to enjoy our walks in the park and these balloons tickled my fancy last week!

One sunny day, we found a turtle sunning himself :)

Doggie Friends!
Hans Solo visiting us!

Ginger, our groomer's baby!

Cleatus--who had been a friend of Seamus and Scout love each other :)

Can't forget our number one friend, Greta!

I was at a wedding last week and had so much!  Beth and I often work together and she is a dear friend.  I love her and her family!
Beth (left) and her niece who looks so much like her!

Stay safe and have a wonderful week!

Work is Good: Thursday Likes, October 11, 2018

So I'm now having problem posting on your blogs.  The emails get bounced back to me.  I'm not sure what to do with this latest situation.  The explainations  I find boggle me these days.

How is your week going?

Well Carol came home on Tuesday and that is good!
We go for walks in the morning (we got caught in the rain this morning and took shelter at our friends' porch).  Scout is very glad to see her friend!  Carol is doing much better physically but has a ways to go yet with her cognition.  Everything takes time.
I finished a stack of mug rug thingys for the kids in our lives and am sending Halloween packages out this weekend.

I like collecting gardening ideas.  When the weather allows, I'm clearing out plants I'm just tired of or that have become overgrown.  I like this idea I found at the rose garden of heuchera (coral bells) under this bush.

This is really my life most days now.  I'm writing every day for about 5 hours and it is hard work.  I have a rough draft done for one progam and am hoping to complete a draft for a second program by the end of next week.
Work is keeping me going these days and it is my escape during these bleak days.  I hope you are finding solace somewhere as well.

Be kind and other positive things...October 5, 2018

I like this photograph I saw on Facebook:

Halloween pups and my Mom's bear.  She dresses it up for every holiday.

Cutie pie Scout!

Arts Fest at our park last week.  I love the tents along the lake!

Roses.  I love them!  My tea roses are not doing well and it might be time to replace them (the bush roses are fine).  Of course we have had really challenging weather this summer.  I'm photographing roses I like for ideas for next spring in case I have to put some new ones in.  I really like these varigated roses:

Cleaning out!  I am cleaning out the garden and getting rid of a LOT of older perennials.  Sometimes you just get tired of things after 10 or 20 years.  Some plants take over.  I'd like to play with more annuals next year so I'm getting things ready this fall.

This girl is sooooooo spoiled.  She wakes me up in the morning so she can have the whole bed to herself.  She is such a diva but such good and entertaining company!

Have a wonderful day!
