Way up in the attic...

I spent the weekend cleaning out the attic, and doing things like refolding my antique quilts, getting rid of things, and reorganizing other things.  In the process, I rediscovered this redwork gem that I had forgotten about:
I love these kinds of days of cleaning and reassessing my treasures.  I know how fortunate I am and quiet work days make me feel especially blessed.  I'm doing a lot of programs this autumn and I wanted to be sure to get this job done before the traveling begins (it starts again on Wednesday! Yeh!!!).
Anyway, I'm wondering what this set of animals are:
Honestly, they remind me of prairie dogs but I think that they were supposed to possibly be lions? It is curious to me.
Tomorrow will be great weather for ducks!  We are expecting 1.5 to 3 inches of rain in one day!
I'll spend the day packing for Wednesday and sewing before I get back "on the road again".  Have a great day!

Two good dogs

I've been working with Teddy (right) all summer to get him to be able to take longer walks with Seamus and I.  I'm proud to say he graduated this week and was able to go to the "big boy" park for a walk with only one minor incident.  Unfortunately, he also got stung by some bees (at home, not at the park) so we are waiting until his backside feels better before we take this challenge on again.
P.s.  The covered bridge in the background is one of many in our region!
