I Like Thursdays: July, 15, 2021

Good Morning!

Today is Thursday and time to post positive things we like for "I like Thursdays" hosted by Lee Anna at Not Afraid of Color!

Even though Scout won't like it, she is getting groomed today and I'm sure that she will appreciate a shorter hair length once it's done!

For whatever reason, the bullfrogs are very vocal this year.  Usually they are resting near the island in the pond but for whatever reason, they are along the shoreline where the walking path is located.   Scout is not used to their "ribbbittt" yet.  Every time she hears them call, she looks around anxiously to see if something strange is approaching her.  😂😂😂😂

We have had Blue Herons at the parks for as long as I can remember but this year, we have a Great White Heron!

Bun-Bun is our rabbit in residence.  She was born in our backyard and decided to stay.  Above is a picture of her mother who was preparing her nest.  Three babies were born and one has decided to remain in our garden.  Scout is curious about her but follows the "Leave it!" command and now we have another reason to protect our sweet bunny.

I did a marathon weeding on Saturday.  The one weed that takes the most care in removing are thistles.  I knew I had one in the lower garden and had let it go until Saturday...except it was gone!

Turns out rabbits eat thistles and she must have loved it because there isn't one trace of the weed left!  Good Bun-Bun!

Well I have things to do today and wish you a happy and safe day!

we have thistles and bunnies... dang maybe ours are lazy. I love it when the poodles are freshly groomed and I can see their eyes again
Milo is growling as I write this. Could be his opinion on grooming or someone had the nerve to leave their front door

Scout is so pretty. I am with LeeAnna I must have lazy bunnies too because my yard and flower beds are full of thistle and as fast as I pull they come back! I have heard other people mention the frogs being much more vocal this year too.

I hope Scout had a good grooming today! I had to go to the "groomer," too! :) It's good to get the hair out of our eyes. I love seeing the bunnies around the yard. Great photo of the white heron!

How nice to have the bunny help with your weeding! It's a cute photo with the nesting material. Scout will look so nice after her grooming!

My mom lives very close to me and she always has bunnies in her yard. I never see bunnies around my house. They're so cute! I'm sure Scout looks very nice after going to the groomer. How amazing to see a white heron! Lucky!!

The bunnies groom a couple of things around here but I haven't noticed them eating the thistles...I let them grow in the back yard for the birds that like them as well. Herons are amazing to see esp. a white one! I always had shih tzus in my other life and I learned how to groom them myself because I liked them in a puppy cut. Scout will feel good and look good afterwards.
