Another day of cheer, March 29, 2018

Link up to LeeAnna to cultivate more cheer!  It's another day to think positive and share joy!

We may still have some snow on the ground but the crocuses are blooming!

It was an historic week.

I love the kids and their passion to make a positive change.  My friend Barb and I went to the local March for our Lives rally on Saturday.  There were a lot of snowtops like us (we are both greyhaired) and kids, teachers and parents.
Some of my favorite signs from the rally included:

The rally was fine but it didn't need the adults that spoke up.  The kids did a great job on their own and were in many ways, more poignant speakers.  I loved the boy that filled his sweatshirt with the names of the children who had been shot.
These children fill me with hope for the future of our country.

I like this bunny stand my Mom gave me a week ago.  I wasn't sure what to display on it but then Carol gave me---GASP---A CHOCOLATE POODLE!!
Guess what will be our centerpiece on Easter?
Speaking of Carol, I like her latest quilt top.  She just finished this one:

Carol shops at Tuesday Morning (and usually on a Tuesday morning).
She picked up these fat quarters for me, wasn't that sweet of her?

It's kind of a pink week.  I love pulling out some of my old treasures and using them for entertaining.

We are hosting Easter again and I need to get moving here.  Brad is taking me to the farmer's market and I'm going to make him lug the heavy stuff like potatoes :)

Have a wonderful week and a happy Easter!

I love your crocuses! A sure sign spring is coming. We have daffodils blooming now, and I'm about to plant dahlias for later in the year. It's inspiring to see so many out at the march!

Love the colors of those crocuses. That bunny stand is really cute. And a chocolate poodle. Wow! Looks like a great rally.

I'm so glad you were able to act on your feelings by attending a rally. So important that all the voices get heard.
I'm starting to see crocuses on blogs and am envious; however our rain is continuing so I think we have turned a corner.
I love that chocolate poodle!!

chocolate poodle!!! However will you bite the head off??? Love all your likes. How important the first message is... those children will vote soon, anyone listening to them? They are activists! It will not always be this way, if they have a say in the matter. I especially liked the illegal hedgehogs but rifles okay poster. Wow. I often say, you have to have a license to drive, marry and fish but not own something made to kill people?? I want that bunny dish.

Thank you for participating in the march. This is such a critical issue. I agree the kids are doing a superb job; we will all need to work together to keep the momentum going. Happy Easter to you!

Chocolate poodles (OMG could that be more adorable?! NO!) and pretty floral milk glass egg trays - NOT GUNS! The world is going to you-know-where in a handbasket ... I'm glad that today's kids are so ready to step up to the plate to make a difference - I think they might be able to do what us snowtops (well, I'm the right age, but not quite there yet in colour, LOL) haven't been able to get right!
