I like...a day early

We have company coming on Thursday.  Sandra from Sandra Sews is going to be in our valley and we are going to do some serious fabric shopping and mostly play with a (now) 5 month old puppy.

What do I like this week?  I like that things turned out okay for Greta, my mom's poodle.  To make a long story short, there was a wound on her tail which seemed mighty infected.  We were afraid it was a contagious infection like staph (or worse) but she is going to be okay.  It was a cyst that blew up and did get infected so she is going to take it easy and do antibiotics for a few weeks.  She's not contagious.
Greta, Brad, and Scout last week.  Obviously, we were concerned because little baby had been around her but it all turned out okay.  Whew, that was a few stressful days.

I like the new message board my husband made for my sewing room.
I have shutters on my windows in the attic and it goes nicely.  Also, the red piece you might remember was an homage LeeAnna made in honor of Seamus.
I'm not canning anymore so we upcycled a canning basket for some plants in the garden:
It's a busy week so that is it for me this week.  Be sure to visit the other I likes by visiting Leeanna's Blog :)

Aw give Sandra a big hug from me, and vice versa! So jealous....of you BOTH. I'm so glad Greta is going to be ok. I love your shutter idea, so clever and cottagey, and your upcycled planter!

It's always a relief to find out that a loved furbaby is going to be fine! And it's double that with the knowledge that scout will be fine too!
Love the message center! It's very country and that is a good thing!
Cute basket holding your plants, it's a nice repurpose!

whew! Baby saved! Cole had a cyst burst open, and it seeped til we finally begged the doctor to remove it. The vet didn't want to, but it was large and got fluid on all our rugs and car seat. They did treat it with antibiotics at first but it continued to recur. Brad is sporting quite the beard!

I love how you can hang things from the shutter slats or tuck them in, too! A great place for photos! Glad Greta is okay, that kind of thing is not fun. Happy Thursday!

I'm so happy your mom's dog is going to be ok!! And I love the shutter idea, I've recently been trying to come up with a new way to display small things in my studio and maybe I should try to find some old shutters somewhere!

Lovely likes and it is always a relief when doggies can heal and feel well again. Your sewing space looks lovely and what a nice way to display LeeAnna's piece.
