I Like Thursdays: October 2, 2025

Hello and welcome to another "I like Thursdays" post.  Hosted by LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color, we share what is positive in our little corner of the internet.  Do visit her blog to see other positive posts!

For some time I've been taking my neighbor for radiation four times a week.  His son would take him on chemo day.  On Tuesday, Dave got to "ring the bell" signally that his treatment--for now--is finished.  We won't know how effective the treatment was until about a month when they can scan him again.  We are all praying it worked.

I celebrated Dave's completion by actually doing some sewing yesterday.  I'm hoping to get a new top done in the next week or so.  It feels good to be back in the sewing room!

Speaking of sewing, our Crazy Quilters Guild is having a quilt show this Saturday!

I'm working there from 1-4 p.m. but I'm going over early to buy fabric and whatever else I find.  It's my birthday and when I told Linda about the sale, she told me to buy as much as I possibly can.  So there!

Lana's prompt this week is about gingerbread.  I do love gingerbread and love the cookies I used to make with the recipe from Mrs. Field's Cookie Book.  I also like regular old gingerbread, especially with lemon sauce.

I haven't had any in years because no one else in my family likes gingerbread and I end up eating way too much myself.  Do you like gingerbread?

Wishing you a safe and happy weekend!

You are a kind neighbor, Michele! So glad your neighbor is finishing his treatment and hope the news is good for him. And hooray for sewing again - love the fabric meme, too. I agree!
