I Like Thursday, May 31, 2018

Hello and welcome!
It's "I Like Thursday" and there is plenty to like this week!
Link up to LeeAnna for other likes as well too!

The roses are in full bloom here and it seems like everywhere I walk, I can smell the fragrance of roses, peonies and honeysuckle.
I'm thrilled because I had moved this bush two years ago and I was concerned that it would never recover.  But it has and it is spectacular!

I like this sign I found for our garden last week.  My husband has a good sense of humor and he took it well :)

I had lobbied my husband to add a new water feature in the garden but he said NO!  We've done a number of features the last two decades.  Our garden is littered with the ghosts of fountains past and he thinks we are getting too old to take on extra work.

I like walking pretty Scout in the park.  She loves watching dog tv at our home (here she is viewing George the cat who lives next door).  But she really loves going to the park!  There are so many wonderful things to see!

SWAN SIGHTING!

 AND GEESE!

Scout isn't sure what to make of all the creatures she is seeing but it is fun to watch her curiousity and we are both getting good exercise.

Well that is all I have this week.  I've been resting my lower back (from too much gardening) and have been doing inventory of my quilts and organizing things in my home.  Hopefully I'll have more to share next week!

Have a wonderful week!

Ahh roses! Not quite there yet but we are definitely warming up. Love your sign. My parents had one at their summer place that said something about an old rooster and young chick living there. Scout is a lucky girl to get walks in a lovely park.

The park you walk with Scout in looks like a wonderful place, as does your garden! Such pretty flowers. We have one fountain in our yard, and love the sound of it.

What beautiful flowers! We see geese, ducks, and rabbits on our walks and my pup Bentley usually ignores the geese. Unfortunately, he thinks rabbits and ducks are specially put them for him to chase, so we always wind up with the leash pulling challenge when we see them!

Scout is gorgeous what a great haircut! Beware of swans and geese Scout! They're bigger than you think and meaner than they look.
The last pic is so pretty and restful. Water fountains are a must! We had an old one in MD that I hated to leave, a lotus shape that I loved seeing despite it's being broken. Gotta have that gurgling sound. We'll set one up in the next house, and hope Milo doesn't see it as a water bowl. These pups are very curious!

Hi Michele,
It's like seeing the world through new eyes, isn't it?! I LOVE that picture of Scout watching the neighbor cat. Don't you just wonder what is going on in her mind?! I would love to know. Same thing with the swan sighting . . . what do you think Scout. I could replace her name with Dominic's and we could be sharing the same pictures. He is in such awe of all the new things. AND those roses!! Holy moly are they gorgeous. I think I can smell them from here.

The smell of honeysuckle brings back such childhood memories - we used to dissect the flowers to suck out the 'honey'.

I'm trying to remember but my mind is like a sieve - I think you had a water fountain (near the shed?) the first time we visited, but I can't tell if that's a memory or if my mind made it up when you mentioned water features, lol. I can't wait to go for a walk in the park with you and Scoutessa (and maybe Carol! Does Brad walk too?) - my pedometer is ready! ;)
