Our Giving Tree

It's been a stressful year and stress makes me (somewhat stubbornly) productive.  This is our Giving Tree.  We (me and the poodles) made a lot of gifts for the patients at the Hospice that Seamus and I volunteer at:
Yeh it's over 100 different items and that is good.  It's important to make something positive out of challenges.  Tomorrow we have our volunteer breakfast and my coordinator asked me to bring these then so that the volunteers could take things for their patients.  I'll take a breather for a few weeks and then start all over again for valentines and the regular (birthdays, hugs, thanks to veterans, etc) for the patients.

In other news, Mom is home again from the hospital and still requires a lot of care.  My brother and I share responsibilities and it has been working out very well.  We are both bushed though and Mom is very weak yet.  It'll be a long haul for her, I'm afraid.

Have a wonderful day!

You have a heart of gold, my dear - and so does dear Seamus!

I'm glad mom is out of the hospital - it'll be a long haul, I think - just make sure you don't overdo it, and take some time for yourself to relax and rejuvenate!

I recognize that picture at the top, although when I saw it there wasn't any of that dreadful white stuff, lol!

Wow Mickie, you are an absolute angel - you and Seamus both! You're amazing. I'm glad to hear your mum is home from the hospital, and that you and your brother can share the responsibility. I'll keep her in prayer!

wow! you made my small reminder to have your mammogram and to do your self-checks seem so small in comparison. my dear friend Joanna would be so pleased with your "giving" to hospice. thank you from me for your time and effort and heart of those dealing with such a terrible life issue.

Your giving tree items are gorgeous.

I hope your mother gains some strength and that you and your brother have some good times ahead with her.
