Well I'm back to do another "I like Thursdays" post! The posts are sponsored by Leeanna at Not Afraid of Color. You might need some positive thoughts so visit her and the other bloggers.
It's been a rainy April so far and that has been great. Our whole valley is in a severe drought and we need all the help we can get!
I really need to get into the garden and do the clean-up. I'm hoping I can start this week. This is not just important for the garden but we are having a new concrete path laid and I need to move plants before the workmen come. Still I'm so excited about getting the new path! It's taken years to convince my husband.
Lana's prompt for this week was about Easter eggs but I don't have many memories of that except for the special egg(s)? that Barb and Frank used to bring for us. They were my grandparents best friends and for a few years, brought these amazing eggs. This is not me below but I remember there being a whole scene in the egg. Do you remember these?
I love Easter NOW and for the first time since Covid began, I actually did a little holiday decorating. When Lucky went to the groomer's, I went to the local antique mall. I have a ton of Easter decorations but I still found something I love.
I think this little basket was homemade and I just adore it. I could even see making this without the rabbit ears and with yellow fabric and an orange beak to make a chick basket. But rabbits are my favorite so I bought the basket in the hopes that someday (when other things on the to-do list are done) I will make one. Have you ever seen this kind of basket before?
Wishing you a safe and happy weekend!

Good find!
The bunnies are adorable!
I had a sugar egg like that! Actually - I still may have a modern one. The old one was best - all the inside decorations were piped with frosting. The modern one has paper cutouts (bah!). Thanks for sharing!
ohgosh that basket! I love it too! I had a special egg one year with a wee scene in it, all sparkly and sugary looking
