I Like Thursday: September 10, 2020

Sending prayers to our friends in California!

It's I Like Thursday!  Hosted by LeeAnna, it's time to fill the internet with positive energy!

My mother sent over a gift for my neighbor's grandson and we had so much fun watching this 2 year old's interest and fun!  He loves visiting the fish ponds in the neighborhood and Mom ordered a fishing pole and made him a little pond.  It was adorable and his reaction was spectacular!

If you can't get the fish with the rod, you can always pick up the fish and attach him to the rod yourself!

I like the large spiderwebs we saw at a neighbor's garden.  There were a few of them and they were so lovely to study!

I like that my husband is finally on an appropriate dose of steroids.  For almost 2 weeks he's been suffering with severe Sciatica.  Four injections, a course of low dose steroids, and rest did him no good.  Finally he started on a stronger dose of prednisone yesterday.  Last night was the first night in a long while we got actual sleep.  He's not out of the woods but at least he is more comfortable!

Because I've been caring for him, I really haven't gotten much accomplished.  Have a wonderful week and stay safe!

Isn’t it fun to watch the littles as they explore their world? Glad your hubby is getting some relief from the sciatica! It’s a bummer to have to live with that!

oh no... poor husband and his nurse... my back flared this week, it's so limiting. Hows our good girl scout?

That looks like a fun toy...everyone can enjoy. Hope your husband gets relief. How hard that is to have the pain non stop. Hugs to you both!

Hi Michele! Oh gosh, that fishing pole and fishies are so darn cute. I wonder if I need to order that for my littles?! They don't have anyone to take them fishing though darn it. So glad to hear the DH has some relief from sciatica, and you too, for that matter. That huge spider's web is AMAZING! WOWEE. ~smile~ Roseanne

Such a cute little boy, and your mom was so sweet to make that for him! I'm so glad your husband is doing better - that kind of pain is a hard thing to bear. Have a good week!

Just caught up on your posts, Michele and have to say how much I love those little embroidered blocks you are working with. What a fine hand you have!
How kind your Mom is to put together that gift for the dear little boy.
I looked up sciatica...it's something I've heard a lot but didn't quite know what it entailed. It does sound very painful. Prednisone is a powerful drug...my mother took it for a few years for her polymyalgia and it was the only thing that gave her relief. Hopefully you both will gain comfort now and be able to get back to normal.

How neat your mom thinks of littles that may need something fun. Sorry about hubby, hope it starts to calm down soon. Great pic of the spiderweb.
