To Do Tuesday: week of April 27, 2019

This week I'm linking up to Roseanne's To-Do Tuesday!

I spent the weekend cutting up more fabric and elastic for another round of mask making.  We have more than 40,000 cases here in Pennsylvania and the county I live in has the highest rate per capita; 1 out of every 83 people has the virus here.  Masks are still needed.

The other project I am working on is my Christmas quilt.  The fabrics in this project remind me of my Nana Betty.  I have been playing with layouts but decided I don't want to do a straight patchwork quilt.

I decided yesterday that I would prefer to sash the blocks with this dark blue.  This blue was chosen because most of the fabrics pop against the color (versus lighter or mid tones that make the blocks fade away).  I'm hoping to get this top sashed this week.

Have a great day and stay well and safe!

What a lovely Christmas project you have going on;))) I like the dark blue, too, for the sashings. I am making us another set of masks this week so when ours are being washed and dried we will have alternates...

Oh no on your county and state statistics, Mickie! Bless you for making all those masks. I keep looking for the number of new cases to start going down here in Colorado, but so far they have not. Will hope the same for you in Pennsylvania! I love blue in Christmas quilts - yours is going to be a sweet one!

Hi Michele! Holy moly - that is a lot of people with the virus. How wonderful that you can help everyone and make masks. I guess the president hasn't been informed about PA. He isn't aware that cases in Wisconsin are still on the rise - over 300 new cases yesterday. We have NOT leveled off or seen a downward trajectory at all. Your Christmas quilt is gorgeous. I think that blue sashing is just perfect and it will really enhance all the festive prints. Thanks for linking up and good luck with your list this week. ~smile~ Roseanne
