I Like Thursdays: October 10, 2019

Happy Positive Thursday!!!
Be sure to check out other "I Like" posts over at LeeAnna's!
I like that my husband has been home the entire time I've had to be off my sprained ankle!  He's walked Scout for me and that has been a big help.  I'm still not able to take her for a walk but I'm doing much better!
I like this new vase that my friend Beth gave me.  It has a frog on the top of the vaseline glass which makes it easier to arrange flowers!

Scout likes it too!
I'm not sure if these are the last flowers I'll be able to pick this season.  Hopefully it will warm up a bit so that we can get another crop of roses.  Right now just one rose has filled my home with the wonderful aroma!
The other day I had to go to the doctor on the outskirts of town.  The air was full of the scent of apples.  When I was a kid, the rural area outside of town was full of orchards.  Even though I couldn't see the apple trees, I knew there was an old orchard left somewhere.  It's such a distinct scent!

Beth and I did the By the Chimney No More program in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania this past week.  I love the new dress form she got to display a suffragists' garb.  Isn't this neat?

I like seeing my friends and I had a lot of visitors as I rested my ankle.  Linda came earlier in the week and Diana came on Thursday.  She brought some old cards and photos that her mother had stashed away and we spent the day looking through them and reminiscing!  Don't you just love these old illustrations?

I hope you have a wonderful day!

those flowers are from your garden? wowie! Scout looks so much like Milo... amazing how they look alike, and different from other poodles I've known. Genetics. Milo's face is getting more gray I noticed in the last photos.
your program sounds interesting. I'm amazed that you continually do new lectures around your area. LeeAnna

I'm glad you're getting a bit better! Hopefully your husband can keep walking Scout so you don't get re-injured. I love the picture of him smelling the flowers- as long as he doesn't eat them!!

Pretty vase for pretty flowers! I love your display for the talk you gave - wish I lived close enough to come to one. Glad to hear your ankle is getting better, and that you've had good help and support while it healed.

Good news that you are healing well and no doubt that is thanks to such good help you’ve had plus Scout’s moral support, of course.
Those flowers are beautiful and if I haven’t said already, love your header.

Lovely flowers. Awesome dress and how cool to be able to share it. Now if it was Bobbin she would have ate the flowers, she does that to my geraniums. Is your ankle feeling any better?
