Holiday Clean-up Commenced...

Yes it's time to clean up the holiday mess.  It wasn't that bad this year and I've already made mental notes for next year:  Only make chocolate chip cookies because that is what everyone wants, ask folks to bring a dish along because it makes life easier, keep with the minimalist plan for a more relaxing day.  Our holiday was cheerful and jolly and we are looking forward to a quiet New Years Eve.  How was your holiday?

I'm with you on the idea of simplifying! Because we got our new tree so late this year I decorated it with ornaments only - no garland, no candy canes - just ornaments. We have a big family get-together coming on Friday and with the little kids running around I needed the tree down before then, so I undecorated it today. It took only about 15 minutes - LOL! I'll let Dennis put it in the box (it's 3 pieces - it won't take long) when he gets home, and that chore is off of the list in - what - 20 minutes? Definitely a time saver, and it still looked very pretty! I only put out a few of my favourite Christmas items - all handmade - I didn't even open the other boxes. It felt good, and it felt right - here's to Keeping It Simple :D

about the cookies, that's just not true. I love a sugar cookie! Just making the post all about me! LeeAnna Cole says he'll eat any of them, plus the paper they're wrapped in.
