nesting quilt

No surprise that I like nesting dolls, but nesting quilt????  Here is what I mean:
Years ago, I stumbled on a pretty ratty looking tied comfort but still inspected it closely.  As I felt it, I was relatively certain something unusual was used as batting, so I bought the comfort and went home to explore.    Untied it, removed the outer layer and sure enough, there was another quilt:

But wait, there's more!!!  It was a two sided quilt!  How lucky was I?  The quilt does need a binding and hopefully I will get around to that in the next year or two.  For now, I'm just happy to have this one!
I will be pulling the Old Maid's puzzle to get you a closer look at that quilt, no problem!  It's just on the bottom of the stack right now :)

Part of the "use it out or use it up" mentality from years ago - the world could use a bit of that today, I think!

You must have done a happy dance when you saw what was inside the original quilt :D

Love the quilt that was nestled inside! Especially the second picture--I love those colors and prints.
